Este blog · About this blog

Between Sea and Land is an artistic venture completed in 2008 and 2009. During four prolonged visits to the Doñana National Park, and the nearby Odiel Marshes in winter and spring, the author, a biologist and painter, created more than 80 watercolours, drawings and other works, painted from life or from sketches made outdoors.
All this artwork is the core of an exhibition and a book reflecting the varied zones of the littoral ecosystems, from beaches to more forested parts of the shoreline, and show a wide diversity of animal species and landscapes. The texts constitute a log of the journey, written in both English and Spanish.

The initial aim of this blog was to help their followers to keep track of the exhibition that visited several cities in Andalusia between 2010 and 2012, providing comments from the visitors and the press. Over time it has become more a notebook to collect ideas, notes and impressions of my work. I hope it will please its readers and occasionally shall leave a comment.
